About “The Egg” By Andy Weir

An associate, colleague, with whom I work, sent me for my perusal the short story by Andy Weir called “The Egg”.

I am not going to copy it here, as I hold it to be more science fiction than what it’s supposed to be.

And I responded to my colleague as follows:

This story would be interesting if it Could be true.
But I have the inside information that it is not true.
Without knowing Andy Weir, I can tell you that I probably know
what is going on in Heaven much better than he does.

I am not looking to be quoted, but I take responsibility for my words if you do.

I am mainly not looking to be quoted because the spiritual reality of Heaven and of souls as well as how the world will look and be in/after the “end of days”, is something which is disputed by the various religions, and, to the best of my understanding, has no way of being adequately proven until we get there.

Then we will see who was correct all the time.

But meanwhile it is just a lot of hot air and theoretics and arguments and bad feelings, and I am not looking to force what I know on anyone.

It doesn’t interest me a’tall what you or anyone else (outside of my own faith) believes, and I, like you, respect each person for what he is, as long as he is not violent and doesn’t cause damage to others.
